Light over darkness!!!!!!!!!!

This is a topic, controversial in itself.
Darkness does not exist, it's a misnomer for low, extremely low light scenario.
Anyway forget about my bullshits.
You were loved but not loved enough to not seek your tentacles to a world of unknown.
You did a great job, I came there as an insect and got trapped in the flower. Alas, it was a poisonous flower. My sincere love suffered a fate of drone.
You knew all these and now I've known everything.
But don't get confused. I'm not going to burn myself in the flame of revenge. I'm not going to strip you of something you have cruelly stripped me of.
You have burnt "Ghee of Love for you" in your temporary "homam of self-satisfaction" but as long as there is light, let's forget the shadow directly underneath.

stareeeeeeeee, no brain involved!!!!!!!!

Will keep on adding more autostereograms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It took me by surprise that I cud see the 3D image in mere 15 seconds. My brain must have reached a state of deer stuck in headlight..........and it has reasons too. But hey, not everything is bad. I can relish 3D images without much staring.
And ya, a blurry mind sees clear images and clear mind sees blurry images, so lets be confused and get the true perception of what is not concocted.

Anthropogenic global warming, a hoax?

Global Warming

Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since last 2 decades, and its projected continuation1. The word “Global Warming” in this essay implies “human-caused Global warming”. My claim in this article is that, the prediction of climate change solely on the basis of increase in anthropogenic Green House Gases, is flawed. Sun is the only supplier of energy to the earth and it is quintessential to include solar activity in predicting average temperature change over the course of the years.

The table below presents the green house gases most of the alarmist are concerned about and the percentage human contribution:

So, out of all the CO2 present in the nature, only 3% is contributed by humans. It is probable that human might be responsible for global warming. But the negligible human contribution to the increase in amount of major green house gases suggest that the probability is very less, if there is any.

Other theories that explain present trend of temperature rise and the change in climate in the past:

Willie Wei-Hock Soon, author of “The Maunder minimum and the variable sun-earth connection”, an astrophysicist at the Solar and Stellar Physics Division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, is known for his views that most global warming is caused by solar variation. In his testimony before US senate on July 29, 2003, he concluded: “We seem to be moving dangerously away from science-by-evidence to science-by-public appeals; and that is bad not only for science but also for the public who will be left ignorant if alarmism in the popular media is not corrected and dispelled.”

The reason behind his skepticism of global warming is that the present trend of temperature is not unprecedented. There was a widespread Medieval Warm Period between approximately 800 and 1300 A.D. This Medieval Warm Period was followed by a widespread colder period, called the Little Ice Age, which lasted from approximately 1300 to 1900 A.D. There is no evidence from each of the individual climate proxies to suggest that higher temperatures occurred in the 20th century than in the Medieval Warm Period. Nor is there any evidence to suggest that either the rate of increase or the duration of warming during the 20th century have been greater than in the Medieval Warm Period.

His explanation of this climate cycle is based on sunspots, which are the dark spots on sun observable from Earth. The sunspots are at lower temperature (lower energy). So the part of the sun excluding sunspot, will be at higher temperature than it would have been if there were no sunspots. Higher energy implies higher temperature and higher temperature part would radiate the energy, it won’t wait for colder part to mingle with its energy and make the temperature homogeneous. Besides, nature of sunspots has not been understood properly, but it is thought that they are maintained against the higher temperature surrounding due to the magnetic effect of the sun. The discussion above implies that fewer sunspots should co-relate to the cooler sun (less intense). The Maunder Minimum is the name given to the period roughly from 1645 to 1715, when sunspots became exceedingly rare, as noted by solar observers of that time. The Maunder Minimum coincided with the middle — and coldest part — of the Little Ice Age, during which Europe and North America, were subjected to bitterly cold winters. Whether there is any connection between low sunspot activity and cold winters is the subject of ongoing debate but the correlation between sunspots and change in temperature of earth is too strong to be neglected.

The graph below presents the number of sunspots in the Y-axis and the year in the X-axis. We can see in the graph that number of sunspots observed during 1645-1700 A.D. were very low.

The graph above is taken from “Environmental Effects of Increased Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide" authored by Arthur B. Robinson , Noah E. Robinson and Willie Soon.2

Another graph from same source as noted above shows solar activity, temperature change and increase in hydrocarbon use since 1880 A.D.:

Atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and temperature change since 1940. The records of atmospheric CO2 levels since 1940 show a continuing increase but during this period global temperature decreased until 1975, and have increased since then. So where is the co-relation between increase in CO2 and increase in temperature? If we look at the same graph, the temperature variation strongly co-relates with solar activity.

Low level cloud theory is the other theory that might explain the climate change. Our galaxy is full of high energy protons and ions called Galactic Cosmic Rays (GCRs). GCRs’ are the produce of exploding stars, also called supernovas within our galaxy. If these particles approach Earth, they can penetrate deep inside the atmosphere. They are responsible for most of the atmospheric ionization in Earth. The sun, when it is magnetically active, can deflect these GCR’s from the solar system. But when the sun is not magnetically active, GCR can enter into the earth’s atmosphere and the high energy particles of these rays ionize the gases there. The ionized small particles collect water to form low-level clouds. These clouds, in turn, scatter incoming light, causing a cooling effect. Some scientists claim that it is a decrease in cosmic rays entering the Earth (magnetically active sun) that has decreased the amount of low-level clouds, causing the current phase of warming. Change in magnetic property of the sun is not a recently discovered phenomenon. The Sun is known to reverse its magnetic polarity every 11 years.

(The research of Nigel Marsh, Henrik Svensmark and Eigil Friis-Christensen showed the relation between GCR and cloud data, http://personals.galaxyinternet.net/tunga/vs.pdf)

Variations in warming rate: The computer models of greenhouse effect-induced temperature increase predict that the warming will be at its greatest for a given location in the troposphere and at its lowest near the surface of the earth. But the current satellite and weather balloon data do not support this model, and instead show that the surface warming rate is greater than or equal to the rate in the lower troposphere.

Relationship between atmospheric carbon dioxide levels and temperature change: The carbon dioxide levels increase or decrease as a result of temperatures increasing or decreasing rather than temperatures following carbon dioxide levels, because as the global climate cools, the Earth's oceans absorb carbon dioxide, and as the climate warms, the oceans release carbon dioxide. The graph below plots the solubility of CO2 and O2 versus temperature. And from the graph we can say that amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is very sensitive to the change in temperature.

Influence of water vapor on climate change. Water vapor makes up 95% of all greenhouse gases and has the largest impact on the planet's temperature. But the effects of clouds cannot be accurately simulated by scientists attempting to predict future weather patterns and their effects on global warming. Global warming model, therefore, makes crude assumptions about the major contributor of the “green house effect”.

There have been very vocal campaigns to make scientists and popular media concerned about the other possible explanation to the change in climate besides green house gases. Some of those campaigns are Oregon Petition (signed by more than 30,000 scientists), 1992 Statement by Atmospheric Scientists on Greenhouse Warming, and the Heidelberg Declaration.

The passionate supporter of “Global Warming” is the IPCC. IPCC is the short form for intergovernmental panel on climate change established by United Nations two organizations namely World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). It shares 2007’s Nobel peace prize along with former US vice president Al Gore. IPCC publishes reports on global warming and advises governments to act accordingly. IPCC reports have been criticized by some scientists like Solid-state physicist Frederick Seitz, president emeritus of Rockefeller University and past president of the National Academy of Sciences (1962-1969), British scientist Keith Shine (lead author of the report, expressing his discontent over change of report substantially in peer review process).

Effect of Global warming has been exaggerated in the popular media by journalists and lawyers, the prime example of which is the, “An Inconvenient Truth” by Al Gore, a power point presentation turned into docuganda. Martin Durkin’s “The Great Global Warming Swindle” is the nice counterpart of Al Gore’s movie.

Conclusion:

My conclusion is that the “human-caused global warming” – often called the “global warming hypothesis”, depends entirely upon computer model-generated scenarios of the future. Computer models exaggerate the effect of human contribution and neglect the solar activity. There are no empirical records that verify either these models or their flawed predictions and the dramatic change in climate in the past cannot be explained if green house gases are the important variables. Most of the alarmists do not want us to hear the other part of the science. Speaking against Global warming has become equivalent to trivializing holocaust in that scientists are attacked not only by scientists with valid scientific arguments but also by lawyers and journalists. They are portrayed as heretics in the popular media. Examples are the scientists who contributed in Martin Durkin’s movie. It has become unscientific and inhumane to talk about the over amplification of human contribution. Most of the alarmists are so much fixated in their background assumption that human beings are responsible for global warming; no matter of information is good enough to motivate them to explore the alternatives. Otherwise, why would they not look at the correlation between solar activity and temperature increase? Why would they ignore the fact that solubility of CO2 in water decreases as the temperature increases, so it is the CO2 increase that follows temperature increase, not the other way around? Science by nature is skeptic. By denying alternative explanations to the climate change, aren’t most of the alarmists trying to convert science into pseudoscience? Even if there is correlation between increase in green house gases and climate change, is the risk worth the effort? How long will we prolong the life of the Earth if we abstain from producing green house gases? There is a probability of 1 in 10,000 that a plane will crash. Will you fly?

irrationality of love

If you try to stand up on the pedestal of rationality, everything we do is irrational and meaningless. But dear, rationality is for sane people, not for someone who is insane in love. You might have been frustrated with the Pain of physical separation but dear we can overcome this. If you shudder your knees to this pain, you will never be able to feel the warmth of love. Rational people never experience love because they can never rationalize the selfless dedication of someone else for others. It will be a mere contract to live the life together. If you love someone for what you see, you might be mistaken. Your eyes may have been beclouded or disillusioned with present pain and it is also very probable that the other person can change and you wont be able to see anymore in that person, the very thing that tempted you to shatter me into pieces.
Rest is on you for you own your body n soul.

MIss her!

Love.......so familiar but so strange, so refreshing but so much suffocating......... Forgive me for no guilt. Punish me for no crime. Hate me for the obsession. Kill me every night with the sweet voice. Hit me every day with the unfulfilled passion. Never stop hating me. You know that you are loved, you can afford to hate me. Love never produces hate, even if it is reciprocated with hate. Love, a self destruction button.......but does it matter? What's the use of existence without her?

nada

Bright light over the tree was not doing much justice to the table set right beneath the tree. But justice….hmm…….isn’t it a velvet gown that detaches haves from haves not? Haves live the life while all haves not could do is surrender life to a game of poker. Haves doesn’t necessarily represent the wealth neither does life to the process of inhaling and exhaling. It is the feeling of suffocation experienced only by the man whose head is wrapped inside an air-proof polythene. He fights relentlessly till he suffers brain death…..a sweet gift courtesy of hypoxia or anoxia. Have you ever imagined living the life under sea with all your lungs inflated? That’s what a melancholy stricken man does. The only difference is the longevity to which this torment extends. His sea is the hopelessness and his fear is the life itself.
At the first thought, I fancied the tree shed its branches. But wouldn’t it have been suicidal to think of depriving something of its arête? Oh boy!!!!!!!!!!……..how I could relate myself to that naked tree standing there, making every living beings scared of its inevitable fall. Then in the second thought, the branches were not the impediments. It was the refuge from heat and the fuel of many animals. It always keeps me wondering, what makes them want to live. Or is it something that can be explained only from rationalization of evolutionary ideas? Why does a mouse run away from a cat? Don’t ask why a mouse avoids a cat but think about what happened to all other kinds of mice or god-knows-what other creatures that didn’t run away from it? How can we be sure that we are not destined to be sucked up in that vacuum of purposelessness or the inevitability of being yet another victim? Are we running away just to save ourselves? I fear the moment when lungs simply give up to this frustrating game of hide and seek …….or its namesake…… the life.
Does a high rise building do a justice to a hopeful pursuit? I think all it does is to make the free fall even easier…free fall instead of that slippery slope all man must undergo from the moment a sperm meets an ovum. They become the victim of insatiable hunger. All they could do is wallow in the tidal waves of unlimited, unquenchable desires.
What then is everything after all? Zip……..nada………nothing…………nothing is the microcosm of everything just like a jail is the microcosm of earthly reality. A god is nothing, an evil is nothing, I am nothing , you are nothing. All of us are the product of chances. Everything is a gamble with no risk or gain. Gamble is nothing without risk. Our very existence is gamble and hence nothing. All of us are nothing. We are Just a probabilistic outcome that bears no significance. We are just like that light above the tree.

Eleeeeeeeeeeeectricity chaos

State of Electricity in Nepal

No one knows who is to be blamed but the victim is undoubtedly a Nepali residing in Nepal. A Nepali has become synonymous of a helpless face; a face whose reflected image resembles a stone-aged man without the mirror being in fault. A Nepali wrestles with the dark, too much busy blaming the system, while its neighbors go on for their third or fourth or god-knows-how-many nuclear experimentations.
To cut the story short, I have listed some of my random thoughts:

1. Maximum hours a Nepali gets to see electricity without any accessories = 6. And do not forget that not all of the 147,181 sq. km. of Nepal is wired.

2. Given the number of hours, are we not better off getting rid of that [“hatti ko mukhh ma jira”] 6 hours too? Our communist government would certainly benefit by not having to censor press or internet. Good way to sustain communism………… comrades.

3. Our prime minister accused “years of dormancy” as the sole factor that led to present havoc. We are impatient to hear your plans too. Your plans better not be “we are the one of the richest country in hydroelectricity” and “we can power up whole Asia”; show us the strategy as to how you are going to power up Nepal (too naive to dream about lightning up already lighted ones). You dexterously maneuvered politics of hype and vanity. Now it is the high time you show that you are a snake with venom and that you were not wearing a mask bought from Indian market. Dear PM, your guerilla warfare is responsible for not letting villages lighten up with the help of small hydro-power projects (if not the major hydro projects too).

4.”American Imperialism” and “Indian Expansionism” (two words you are infatuated with) are not something you can fight with guerilla warfare. Please demonstrate the diplomacy you had once promised (but probably never expected to have to keep up also).

5. There was a program, “aafno gau , aafai banau” (make your village yourself), which the UML government had implemented years ago and is the one thing I remember UML for. Are there any plans you have put forward that will make Nepalis long remember you and your party? Or is it just the anarchy and killings that make us forget you as a nightmare and avoid like a plague?

6. The election of Prachanda as PM is farce. People are as much complicit as Maoists leader is in killing thousands and torturing millions. Torn apart between Lainchaur and Beijing, he is creepily meandering in Nepali politics.

7. NRS 236 billion worth of budget aims to see NRS 65 billion in the form of foreign support. Is this the move towards financial stability? Or stressing of parasitic nature of communism?

8. Instead of embracing the hydro power project as the panacea of Economic miseries, there needs to be detailed technical, economical, political studies about whether this really is beneficial to Nepal. After all, we might be better off with small hydroelectric project than mega projects. Large external investment in small economy like Nepal might have detrimental effect on overall economic health of the country. Lessons should be learned from Itaipu and Yacyreta mega-hydroelectric projects in Paraguay.

9. Bipartisan politics is required if we are not to continue Tanakpur-Mahakali type of jumble. There should be common national interest rather than a party’s interest when dealing with such mega projects that bear implication on Nation’s economy for decades.

10. Decentralization of hydro-power project could be one of the alternatives to the massive projects. This can give rise to the boom in small industries that produce turbines required for those small scale projects. Home produced turbine could have chain effect in booming nation’s economy; country can prosper by creating jobs while reducing dependency on foreign oil and fuel-woods. Since small scale projects do not require building of dam or reservoir, it could be something that can thrive even in poor economy. Massive current of rivers certainly is on people’s side; all we possibly need might be a helping hand from government, without having the government to look up to economic giants/players for mercy.

11. Low cost Photovoltaics could be another alternative to kerosene lit villages of Nepal. For details, click on this link.

12. For reference purpose, this link provides the list of the power projects in Nepal.

Madhes is burning

Federalizing Nepal under the ethnic line is not the panacea for extirpation of feudal system but a hypnotist’s dream of cozy mattress while sleeping under the death bed of burning fire.

Decentralization of Nepal should entirely be based upon geography. Having said that, there is no need to act like microwaved pop corn when someone speaks Hindi language, while swearing in as vice president of whole country. Speaking lingua franca of Madhes could come as comfort to the people who had long been treated as second-class citizens, stereotyped as “khhali bottle, purano kagaz”.

We should realize that trying to remold those people would not only homogenize the whole country but also make those remolds disconnected from this Nepali soil. They would as a result soul search their identity and it would then not matter even if they cross geographic line. Geographic demarcation is less painful than the cultural alienation.

When the vice president sworn in Hindi language, my face resembled that of Janus, one face unhappy that he ignored the very constitution of which he was the pundit and other face happy that he attempted to create a feeling of belongingness among those who have so long been denied a Nepali identity.

What do our “typical nationalists” do besides killing anyone who they think is hindrance to their motives? Our leaders need to realize that Mahesworic path might always not lead to the solution. Let’s see if there is any Bishnu out there who can accept their children even if they speak different language, even if they wear different clothes, even if they resemble arch-rival countries in terms of culture.

Try to be compassionate to the people who had long been yearning for recognition at the national level. Otherwise, your hubris will lead u to the fate of Icarus.

free style conversation

नयाँ नेपाल naya Nepal
If the call for integrity lies in language, if nationality lies in sticking to the geography outlined by member of a Shah clan and if Shah clan do not represent anything except feudal system, what then is the basis of unity? Its not language, its not geography, its not religion and “ 4 jaat chhatis barna ko fulbari” can no longer be used because it belongs to Shah clan. Pathetic people still use it.

They should be using…..freedom comes from the barrel of the gun……..and we promote freedom.

I don’t know how true it is, but they want the name of “Nepal” be changed to something else. Go ahead…fulfill the pledge you vowed to keep………they were handy when u needed to scrap every last drop of support needed…..I am sure it’s gonna be chilli in ur ass when you need to fulfill…….not sure whether you respect sovereignty of Nepal…….if you don’t then lets forget about it…….. you were operation Delhi as was suggested by some Bidwans a long time ago.

This might be the last day you will live as a Nepali….you might be a madhisey, you might be a Newar, you might be a limbu but you wont be a Nepali…………..and does that hurt? I don’t know………
Hey triangular part might have been associated with Hindus but can't it be reinterpreted as Greek letter "delta" which means change. Or is it too western for an eastern mind. I dont know............look at the prototype of new Nepali flag. It seems too bloody (literally and metaphorically). What do you say?

Is it technology gone wrong??? Or an adventurous human nature???

I'm not a whiner or shit but these seem a little too much for me.
check out these boobs

live by the gun, die by the gun

The world seems to be orchestrated with the sweet music created by the followers of Ivy Mike. Here goes one surreal picture and there certainly is whole new message above that layer of plain humor, often the cold one. How long do we have to wait to see this pic become a reality? .....and I bet there are many similar pictures waiting to become real. When will the politics of blood end or just take a pause to unite people with common agenda of global brotherhood? When will poor kids in Nepal get enough to eat? When will killings in Darfur come to a stop? When will HIV stop to engulf Africa? The day will come..............yes it will...........lets first say no to gun.......

I will be here waiting

This is a poem written by a very good friend of mine.

Leave me the scars of your pains,
and I shall bear your cross through eternity.
those pains that stabbed those bleeding scars,
those scars that marked the unhealing heart
I shall quench that thirst for love and acceptance
I shall heal those wounds that continuously bleed.
I shall wipe those tears that had covered ur soul
I shall embrace that body that seemed so cold.
just utter my name and I shall come
never shall I ask for anything in return.
just whisper your name softly to ma ears,
Just shed them all into my shoulders.
For I am your only refuge in this war against yourself
I am your only light in this forsaken darkness
I am the only friend you could find and have left.
I will always be here waiting

funny! think again

Funny, may be not
poverty is showing its face.........I feel bad for that unlucky Nepali and for the rest of the ppl waiting to devour it.

Looking forward

How could we get something out of the present system and the present leaders??

Couple of points I think could streamline the politics in right direction in Nepal:

1. Having the candidates debate within their party and with the members of other parties for at least 6 months before the election.

2. Make them address the problems of the place they are representing and what their approach will be concerning reduction or minimization of the problem.

3. I don’t believe that having Dr. associated in front of name would make them pragmatic, so everyone, regardless of ethnicity, cast, sex and education should be given the chance to participate in debate.

4. We should get reasonably educated members of that society and educated neutral people from Nepalese living all over the world (appointed for this special cause) vote over the rationality and leadership qualities this member presents. This member then competes with the other similarly appointed member from other parties in general election.

5. Media should be free from yellow journalism and it should also be freed from the grip of the established powers

Having (closely??) watched the US presidential debate, I thought this is what we can apply in our country to get something out of present leadership. What it would do basically is enforce these leaders to have vision and strategy to achieve them. This would, in my opinion, step up the politicians from the rhetoric politics to the real politics. They would be evaluated in the next election on the basis of honesty and accomplishment they show in solving the problem.

There are a lot of problems associated with this method. Few are:

1. Special interest groups funding the members to maneuver the politics in their direction. The best way to solve this would be free and independent media.

2. Possibility of relatively less educated and voiceless people being left out of membership: Some people call it Brahmanism. Brahmanism won’t go away unless we give education to the oppressed cast and make their voice louder. Make no mistake, Brahmanism don’t represent Brahmans only, it represents all the people in power who show no concern, whatsoever, towards the under-represented and under educated people in the society. It might be politically incorrect to use word Brahmanism because it is offensive to the Brahmans in good faith.

3. Doubt over whether the established members within the parties are willing to give away their membership to the more qualified junior member of their party.

I believe this is a proactive approach to stepping up the quality of leadership. Comments on this idea or presentation of other pragmatic ideas would highly be appreciated. Let’s not be reactive or cynical about what happened in the past but try to find the solution to the present chaos keeping in mind the vulnerabilities and mistakes exposed in the past. The country no longer belongs to the particular family and it is our responsibility to head it in the right direction. It is the collective effort of Nepalese from every corner that matters.
